Forum Science Is Alive! at the 12th meeting of the Subcommittee for Science and Post-Secondary Educational Institutions of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic
On 23 February 2010 a delegation of Forum Science Is Alive! took part in the 12th meeting of the Subcommittee for Science and Post-Secondary Educational Institutions of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The Subcommittee convened to debate the issue of research funding in the Czech Republic in relation to a bill submitted by a group of MPs to amend Act 130/2002 Coll. The guests also included representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Czech Rectors’ Conference, Council for Research, Development and Innovations and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Forum Science Is Alive! declared its principal objections to the Method for Evaluating Research and Development Results in 2009 drafted by the Council for Research, Development and Innovations. Representatives of Forum Science Is Alive! also distributed an official statement of the Forum on the Method (for the text of the opinion see here /Czech only/).
